Wonderland Two….Simply Sweet!
Thank you for stopping by on my stop of Melissa’s Blog Tour for Wonderland Two. I’ve had fun playing with this fabric line and the delicious gold that makes it spark. With the inspiration of Alice in Wonderland, I had to take Sedef’s book Quilt Petite and create an easter pillow using her Dresden Plate pattern. I feel I chose the right project. Riley Blake Designs sent me a 10-inch Stacker and the fabric for the back and front of the pillow.
I love doing a little bit of EPP with this pillow. There is something so fun in hand stitching fabric pieces together. You can pop on your favorite movie and simply whipstitch away! I had to fussy cut that little bunny with the bow tie to compliment the corner of this pillow. He just spoke right to my heart. And look at the gold? This image does not do it justice how it sparkles. It’s to die for!
I chose to hand stitch using my Aurifil embroidery thread that matches my Wistful Winds fabric line. Don’t you love how it matches Wonderland 2. I added a necklace to Lil Miss Bunny and only hand stitched inside the circle plates!
All the fabrics in this line are very sweet. Notice the cute little teacup fabric with gold accent, the sweet floral and the ginghams to match. Everything just compliments each other in perfect sequence.
I love how charming this pillow looks. I chose to quilt in between the dresden plates to make it look like little flowers. I’m pretty happy with how cozy this little pillow looks. It makes me want to get out all the easter decor.
If you love Alice and Wonderland, you need to make and create something with Wonderland 2. Melissa knocked it out of the park, and I’m grateful that I’ve had the opportunity to share this project with you all. Will little scraps left, I’m on the hunt for the next project. Check back to see what I make. Next on the blog tour is the amazing Beverly from Flamingo Toes. It was hard to follow the amazing Elea Lutz with her darling quilt and dress! Thank you for stopping by, and hope you come back again!
