SPEECHLESS. AMAZING WISTFUL WINDS SHOWCASE WEEK 2.

Beautiful projects, dreamy quilts, and another spectacular week from these creative women who got what Wistful Winds is all about. I designed this line for Riley Blake Designs. I wanted to do another recap of week 2. Every morning I got up it felt like Christmas, I was like a kid in a candy store savoring every moment I opened up to everyone’s blog post. I’m so very grateful for the past two weeks, celebrating my new fabric line.

First on the blog tour was Liz and Liz of Simple and Simon Co. They are fellow fabric sisters as we design over at Riley Blake Designs. I’ve been a long fan of their blog, where they have amazing tutorials. They did a tutorial on the Granny Square Block, if you haven’t made this block it’s a must. Thank you for sharing your talents!

Then Kimberly Bourne of Main Street Market Designs made the most beautiful car seat cover/blanket out of a pattern she developed a few years ago. I love how she used it in Wistful Winds. She too has had battles of infertility, and understands the pain of losing a child. I’m grateful for how she made this out of love and hope for that longing of a child.

Then there is Jemima Flendt of Tied with a Ribbon. She’s the sweetest lady from Australia, who extends her talent in sewing! Have you seen her amazing patterns? They are amazing! She made a darling backpack and pillow out of Wistful Winds. Thank you Jemima, your eye candy projects are perfection!

Nadra Ridgeway from Ellis and Higgs is also a fabric sister from Riley Blake Designs. I got to meet her at Quilt Market in Salt Lake City. She is very sweet and very talented! The way she puts fabric together makes it sing! She made a sweet blanket and a pillow from one of her patterns. Thanks Nadra for the beautiful projects!

A fellow utahn, Amy Chappel from  Ameroonie Designs created the cutest sign, which captured the meaning behind Wistful Winds perfectly! Create your own Happiness is what I want you to do with this fabric line. Amy creates and crafts many things, she is one to follow!

I’ve known Amber Johnson from Gigi’s Thimble for quite sometime. I was thrilled when she said yes to coming on board and creating something with Wistful Winds. She created an adorable apron for her daughter. It’s darling!

Tina of Emily Ann’s Kloset is an amazing quilter, blogger, and amazing mom to a special needs child. Her love radiates through her amazing talents. You can tell her love for crafting, her love for life through her works. She made an amazing quilt and zipper pouch. Plus, I love these photos. You know her daughter loves and claims that quilt to be hers. That’s what handmade is all about….a gift of love!

Angie Wilson from Gnome Angel created a 3D pinwheel quilt with Wistful Winds. I’ve been such a long time fan of her’s and was thrilled when she said yes! I’m excited to finally get to meet her at Quilt Market in a few short sleeps! She’s simply amazing and is running the 100 Day’s Block sew along using Tula Pink’s Book. I joined in using Elea Lutz first fabric line with Penny Rose Fabrics.

Clare and I have been friends on instagram for quite some time. We finally got to meet at the Salt Lake City Quilt Market. She’s another Aussie that I love! Her love of sewing radiates through her creations. I’m so particularly in love with that pillow! It’s gets the meaning of this fabric line. LOVE and JOY!

Deanna from Stitches Quilting is a woman of kindness, love and spreading the word about our Quilting Community! She also has a child with special needs in autism, and has found JOY in helping that child grow. She’s an amazing lady full of live and love. It radiates in the Wind Chime (so creative) and her Radiant Hope Quilt. Amazing!

Melissa Mortenson from Polka Dot Chair were booth mates at Quilt Market. I loved getting to know her better. She’s an amazing woman, who loves the love of crafting. Her blog is so popular and full of inspiration. I loved that she reunited her Reading Pillow out of Wistful Winds.

Then Jessica from Izzy and Ivy Designs is amazing. I’m so grateful for her in sharing her talents in creating a beautiful dress and jacket out of Wistful Winds. She even celebrated her new website by launching it on the tour! She explains how she hacked two patterns together. So clever!

Gwen Sager from Tillalili contacted me during the blog tour and I’m so glad she did. We added her in and she created a block from a quilt pattern she created. I love how it radiates joy don’t you!

I was the last stop sharing my inspiration behind Wistful Winds fabric. You can go ahead and read about it here. I’m grateful for all the designers, who celebrated this line with me. They each have captured the true meaning of JOY and HAPPINESS. I hope you have felt the happy. I will be creating a look book of all the projects. I will announce when it’s ready on my blog, Instagram, Facebook and newsletter. Don’t forget to follow or sign up for my newsletter to get all the Doohikey Designs goodness.
