What’s better than a Road Trip Bag?
I was so thrilled when Kelly asked me to be on her mini blog tour for her new fabric line. Road Trip by Kelly Panacci for Riley Blake Designs is such a fun line to be inspired by. Did you know it was inspired by her very own road trip with her husband. They sold off everything and took off in their very own RV to travel. How amazing is that? You an read more about her inspiration here.
The fabric line is so fun to SEW with. The bright colors, the florals and little rv camper that inspired this line made me want to create something I could take on a road trip. I fell in love with this Summer Madras Tote pattern by Noodle Head. Better yet it’s a free pattern. This bag is so versatile, and lovely to work with. Christine from Stitching Revival created this with my Wistful Winds Bag that you can see here. I too made the pockets a different fabric and adjusted the straps to have another print from her fabric line. I love how deep the pockets are. This can be used for carrying your favorite books to read, pack with travel games for the kids, or even to hold your favorite sewing gadgets and projects.
Now here’s my secret for later: come back later this afternoon for one more post of the Road Trip Case by Noodlehead. I didn’t quite finish before our Road Trip that my husband and I just took for two weeks. We went to Quilt Market and Business Boutique for Women, more on that later. I even took my sewing machine to try to finish it, but I lacked some time.
Now that I just got home today at 2am this morning, I’m hoping after i wake up I can quickly finish it and show you another way to use this fun fabric. I just have a few more things to complete it. Just want it perfect to show you how cute it can be for your next “sewing” road trip. Please come back this afternoon! I will post on instagram, twitter and Facebook, so be sure to follow me! You will get two posts in one day! Now I’m warning you it may be more like in the evening when I post, but I’m hoping for mid-afternoon. You won’t want to miss it, it’s that cute!
I’m not the only one on this blog tour so please stop by and follow the rest of the makers!
